I’m so sorry for your loss. My thoughts and condolences go out to your family.
Suzanne was such a phenomenal person that it’s hard to come up with the words to truly describe how special she was.
I had the privilege of working with her and it was always amazing to see how she approached everything with so much thought, brilliance and understanding. True to her kind and generous personality, she was always there to lend a helping hand, but also share her incredible knowledge. It was always a great opportunity that you never passed up if you could get some time with Suzanne to pick her brain on something. She touched so many of our lives and will be greatly missed, but certainly never forgotten.

Jim, Owen and all of the Macksey family, The service yesterday was very beautiful and personal. Everyone who knew Suzanne understand very well all the beautiful words spoken. I just realized that it was just 2 weeks ago that I had my final visit with Suzanne, I was truly blessed to be her friend and help her through this final journey.. She also prepared and helped all of us, with her strength and bravery. I’m thankful her final days with you all were well spent, with time to reflect and talk and love. My thoughts have been with you and will continue to be with you….cherish your memories forever. She will be missed by everyone who knew her, for me there is already a missing piece of my heart, I can only imagine how you all feel, but with the strength she instilled in each one of you, she’s going to guide you through,,,,one day at time.

Oh Suzanne. I missed your FB message until today. I am in disbelief. I am so incredibly saddened to hear that you are gone. I will always remember you as a witty and intelligent member of our small little group of moms whose babies were delivered by the Stratford Midwives. The 3 of us got together quite frequently in that first year 12 years ago. After that, we still got together for a number of years and then life got busy. I loved talking to you, listening to your views related to our kids and motherhood. I remember how you spoke of Jim- I got the impression that he was your best friend and confidante, and you truly were a match made in heaven. Owen was literally the light of your life and it was so evident that he was the best gift you ever got! My heart is so broken right now. Jim and Owen and the entire Voteary and Macksey families, please know that Suzanne will not be forgotten. My condolences to each and every one of you.

Dear Jim & Owen
So sorry to hear of your wife/mother’s passing. Though I never had the pleasure of meeting Suzanne in person it is clear to me just by reading through her obituary and many warm condolences that she meant so much to so many. Please take solace and strength from the fact she touched many and find comfort in family/friends and most importantly in each other. As I write this I’m awash in a beautiful sunset in Suzanne’s hometown of Halifax and can’t help but think its beauty is surpassed only by the love she has for you both and you for her.

I apologize I cannot be there for the services but know that I’ll be thinking of you and her while sending heartfelt condolences from my family to yours during this difficult time.

Dear Jim and Owen,
I am so very sorry for your loss. I have only known Suzanne for a short time, but we worked very closely together on our very small team. And though we were separated by geography, she became a very close colleague and friend. We bonded over our challenges as well as our successes and she surprised me at every corner with her hilarious wit, her incredible smarts and her loyal friendship. I will miss not being able to tap on her virtual shoulder, and reading her funny and insightful remarks, but I feel incredibly blessed to have had the privilege of knowing her and working with her, and I owe her a debt of gratitude for her kindness, her warmth and her wisdom. She leaves a big void in our hearts and on our team, and we will miss her dearly. CF

Sending love, hugs & prayers to Aunt Cathy & Uncle Ken, cousins Joanne & Richard and their families.
Also for Jim & Owen who Suzy adored so very much and thank you for loving her and strongly supporting her through it all!
Suzy meant a lot to her extended family of Aunts, Uncles & cousins of which we are many,
I’m sure just by her sheer nature of being the most kind, generous, sweet and loving person ever..,
there are many friends & co-workers also feeling the pain of her being physically gone.
I have to believe she’s gone to be an angel, as God only takes us when we’re perfect.
I’m glad he spared taking her from us as long as He did… so we could enjoy her lol & Love of Life!
From our family to all of you, Suzy would want us to get through the sadness & smile again when we’re ready.
Remembering the fun, laughter, and good times shared. KJ
