Condolence from Mark & Karen Pfaff and Family sent on January 11, 2018

We are very sad to learn of the passing of Ken. He was one of the kindest people we had ever known. He was a wonderful neighbour and alway was willing to help if any of our family members needed it. If my daughters’ bicycle tires needed some air, all they had to do is ask him. He always had a positive outlook, a kind word and a warm smile. Most of all he was a good friend. He will be dearly missed by us all.

I was so sad to hear of Ken’s passing. My Mom, Dorothy Kennedy, was a resident at The Maples Retirement Home in Tavistock, so I got to know Ken when I was coming in and out of The Maples to visit. Ken was such a happy fellow ! He always greeted us with a smile, a helping hand and it was a joy to be around him. I last saw him about 5 weeks ago when I relucantly had to move my Mom out of The Maples and into a nursing home. As usual, Ken was there trying to give me a hand with the boxes. That twinkle in his eye was always there and he made everyone’s day a little brighter. Sorry to hear he’s no longer with us – I’m sure he had many, many friends. He’ll be missed.

Condolence from Pam Carnochan and Jamie Honderich sent on January 6, 2018

We are so sad to hear of Ken’s passing and will truly miss his smile and endless playful chatter.
It was a delight to learn that Ken and Hazel had a cottage just 10 minutes from our house when we moved to Huntsville many years ago. We enjoyed stopping in on them unannounced as often as possible. We were always greeted with a hug or friendly handshake and a boatload of new stories. When Steve Shantz came up to visit we would always make the short trip (sometimes even a bike ride) over to the Shantz cottage and go for a swim using the rope swing. It became one of our favourite swim spots in Muskoka (and we have about a hundred – no kidding).
A big hole has been left in your family and our bigger clan that cannot be filled but we hope the fond memories and endless stories can help ease your pain.
We send our love and prayers. Pam and Jamie
