Passed away peacefully at Knollcrest Lodge, Milverton on April 30, 2017 surrounded by her loving family.  Katie was born 87 years ago, a daughter of the late John Gascho and former Lydia Ropp.  Beloved wife of Glenn Schwartzentruber of Milverton with whom she celebrated 65 years of marriage.   Loving mother of Karen  (Stew) Gingrich of St. Jacobs, Garry  (Kay-Ellen) Schwartzentruber, Grant (Pauline) Schwartzentruber, all of Milverton, Colleen (Marcel) Stadelmann of RR # 1 Kincardine and Quintin (Sue) Schwartzentruber of St. Jacobs.  Forever missed and lovingly remembered by 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Dear sister and sister-in-law of Clara Zehr of Tavistock, Dan and Joyce Gascho of Wellesley, Ruth and Rae Nafziger of Mitchell, Marcella Martin of Waterloo, David and Marion Schwartzentruber of Baden, Marlene and Harold Schultz of Milverton, Orval Schwartzentruber and friend Carolyn of Kitchener, Don and Maureen Schwartzentruber of Elora.  She was predeceased by sister Vera and Leroy Leis, and brothers-in-law Delmer Zehr, Lester Roth, Henry Martin, and nephews Willard Leis and Roger Zehr.
Katie was a member of Riverdale Mennonite Church, Millbank.  She was a loving, caring wife to her husband Glenn and cherished time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She enjoyed volunteering in a variety of ways and kept active by crafting, biking, gardening and walking, having participated in fundraising walkathons for Knollcrest Lodge.
Visitation at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 7 Spencer Street, Milverton on Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m.
The funeral service will be held at Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 7 Spencer Street, Milverton on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at 11 a.m.  Pastor Doug Amstutz and Pastor Jim Brown officiating.
Special thanks for the loving care provided by the staff at Knollcrest Lodge.
