You don’t know me but I just read about April in the Ayr News today. I am so very sorry for your loss. My heart breaks to hear how much pain April was in.
I cried when I read the obituary. I had very severe post partum depression 21 years ago in 1998 when I had my son.
Reading those words in the paper today I felt the pain that April must have felt and pain I still remember.
There are no words to describe the thanks for bringing light to this very real and common mental health issue.
Not enough is done to help those of us who have experienced it and those in the future that will experience it.
It is a hugely complex condition.
My prayers are with you all as you learn to live without April. Grief does not go away but eventually it becomes easier to live with.

I didn’t get to spend much time with her. The last time I saw her was when her, Pete, and I went to Beerfest last month. We had a great time. I remember thinking how great she was not only for Peter but in general. Just like I love Peter like a brother, I could see myself loving April like a sister. She was a wonderful soul who was a joy to be around.
