Rieck, Ida Willena
Passed away peacefully at Innisfree House, Kitchener on Monday, November 19, 2018. Ida was born 89 years ago in Glace Bay, Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, a daughter of the late Cecil Hiscock and former Mary Alfreda Curtis. Loving wife of the late Harry Rieck who predeceased her November 13, 1999. Beloved mother of Donna Gaulton (Charles) of Kitchener, Suzan Deckert (Murray), Patsy Lee Leis (Roger), all of New Hamburg, Hilda Faugh of Baden, Sarah Coleman (Raymond), Paul Rieck (Michelle Johnstone) all of Kitchener. Lovingly remembered by grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Charles Gaulton (Carol Anne); Matthew Gaulton (Marcy) and their daughter Michaela; Andrew Gaulton (Ashley) and their children Lorelai and Autum; Trevor Deckert (Tracey Eagles); Travis Deckert (Cathy) and their children Trent and Mackenzie; Timothy Leis; Melanie Nelder (John) and their children Marissa and Ethan; Gregory Leis; Nicholas Faugh and his daughter Jayden Bellamy; Ashely Faugh (Bryan Durham) and their daughter Peyton; Tiffani Ertel (Daryl Diamond) and their son Dylan; Tara Ruud (Tomy); Deanna Coleman; Samantha Coleman; Megan Rieck; Tyler Rieck; Emily St. Louis (Dustin) and their children Chase, Abella, Serenity; Ashley Johnstone (Mike MacKenzie) and their daughter Aisling; Jessica Johnstone; Sarah Johnstone.
Also survived by brother Raymond Hiscock (Barbara), Henry Hiscock and sister Caroline McNeil, all of Glace Bay, NS, Eileen Russell of New Brunswick, Mary Bain of Ottawa, sister-in-law Joyce Hiscock of New Brunswick. Predeceased by brothers Charles Hiscock (Audrey), Cecil Hiscock, sister Robena Griffin (John), and sister-in-law Margaret Hiscock, brothers-in-law Ron Bain and Eric McNeil.
Ida was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Petersburg. She enjoyed embroidery, bingo, puzzles and reading as her hobbies.
Visitation at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 291 Huron Street, New Hamburg on Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. and Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Friday, November 23, 2018 in the funeral home chapel at 11 a.m. Pastor Richard Orlowski officiating. Interment in Riverside Cemetery, New Hamburg.
