Passed away at Hillside Manor, RR # 5 Stratford on Sunday, June 24, 2018 in her 91st year. Betty resided in Stratford and was formerly of Milverton. She was a daughter of the late Roy & Flora (Oesch) Schauber. Beloved wife of the late James W. Ranney (1987). Loving mother of James Ranney (Elizabeth Atkinson) of Nanoose, BC, and Debra Ranney of Stratford. She will be missed by her beloved dog Buddy, and many nieces and nephews. Also missed by sisters Rose Crocker of Stratford, Shirley Ziegler (Bob) of Milverton, Sharon Worth (Clair) of Katrine. She was predeceased by her brother Murray Schauber, Ross Schauber in infancy, sister Maxine Schauber, Lenore Meyers, and Joan Stinson and in-laws Loa Schauber, Bob Crocker, Roger McClory, Bill Meyers, Elmer Gropp, and Bob Meyers.
Betty was a member of St. Paul’s United Church, Milverton.
At Betty’s request, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Cremation has taken place. Interment of ashes in Greenwood Cemetery, Milverton.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Stratford General Hospital, St. Paul’s United Church or the Stratford Perth Humane Society would be appreciated by the family and may be arranged through Mark Jutzi Funeral Home (cheques accepted).
