LEIS: Lorne Laverne – the family is deeply saddened to announce his passing at Knollcrest Lodge, Milverton on Wednesday October 17, 2018.  Lorne Leis of Wellesley and formerly of Milverton in his 82nd year.
Beloved husband of Myrna (nee Denstedt) who he married July 11, 1959.  Dear father of Lorrie & husband Dan Plein of Milverton and Jarrod & wife Cheryl of Hawkesville.  Sadly missed by his grandchildren Danielle, Jake, Curtis & Eric.  He is survived by his brother Walter & wife Lucille of RR#1 Wallenstein, Stanley & wife Sheila of Waterloo, by brothers-in-law Barry & Beth Denstedt, Randy & Joey Denstedt, sisters-in-law Karen & Mark Jutzi, Sherry Denstedt and Cindy Denstedt & Tom Nahrgang. 
Predeceased by his parents Sidney & Maude (Schlueter) Leis, mother and father-in-law Stanley & Blanche Denstedt, sisters Mabel & Bill Ogram, Doris & Clayton Lotz and by brother-in-law Gaye Denstedt.
Lorne had a 38 year career as a truck driver cruising the highways of Ontario and the U.S.A.  He loved cottage life and travelling especially cruising.  Dumpster diving provided him with materials to construct additions, sheds and a bunky at his northern Ontario paradise. Family celebrations were really special to Lorne being surrounded by all of us.  Lorne served several terms on council at St. Peters Lutheran Church, Linwood, was a member of the Milverton Lions and had been a past member of the Milverton Agricultural Society.
Relatives & Friends may call at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home 7 Spencer St., Milverton Sunday from 2-4 & 6-8pm.  A public graveside service will take place on Monday October 22, 2018 at 10:00am at St. Peters Lutheran Cemetery, Linwood.  A Celebration of Lorne’s life will follow at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, Milverton at 11:30am.  Reception to follow.  
In lieu of flowers, donations to Knollcrest Lodge or the St. Marys’ Hospital Foundation – Cardiac Care (cheques accepted) would be appreciated by the family.  Personal condolences can be sent at www.markjutzifuneralhomes.ca
