Hall, Kathleen (Kay) nee Rawlings
Peacefully at Parkwood Mennonite Home, Waterloo on April 17th, 2017 in her 92nd year. Re-united with her loving husband Arthur (2001). Mother of Brian (Loretta predeceased), Sarnia; Leigh (Lyn), Simcoe; Cheryl, Guelph; and Craig (Jodi), Kitchener. Nana to Stephanie, Jeremy, Kristopher, Michelle, James, Zachary, Kyle and Matthew. Great nana to John, Ryan, Avril, Tyler, Katie, Ben.
Survived by sister Helen Cull of Toronto Predeceased by parents, sister Betty and brother Herbert.
Kay was a veteran of WWII, serving in the CWAC (Canadian Women’s Army Corps) and was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 532, New Hamburg.
Kay felt strongly that the women’s basic training barracks be remembered and was instrumental in the raising of the statue that now stands in front of the armoury on East Ave.

Visitation at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 291 Huron Street, New Hamburg on Friday April 21, 2017 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at St. George’s Anglican Church, New Hamburg on Saturday April 22, 207 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Margaret Walker officiating. Interment in Riverside Cemetery, New Hamburg. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to The Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 532, Cystic Fibrosis or Sleeping Children Around the World.
A legion service will take place on Friday April 21, 2017 at 6:45 p.m. at the funeral home.
