Condolence from Margo Hoffman sent on January 16, 2018

To all the family: So sorry to hear of Florence’s passing. I always enjoyed her cooking and learned many things from Florence in the cooking/domestic area. I still enjoy making some of her recipes. I have one of the quilts she made on my bed today. Florence also gave me good advice on a career path. I always marveled at all Florence could accomplish. The Hoffman/Gropp families intertwined through the years in that they were the grandparents to my boys, Curtis & Cory. My late mom, Olive, and Florence both worked at the Stfd. General Hospital for many years and would enjoy going to the “long-service” dinners together. My late dad, Casey, and Florence became meal partners at County Meadows, sitting at the same table. I would see Florence often when visiting with Dad at the retirement home. Florence will be missed by many. Sent with my sincere sympathy.
