Dirstein, Marion (Ruth)
Passed away on May 22, 2017 at St. Mary’s Hospital, Kitchener.  Ruth resided in Morningside Village, New Hamburg and was formerly of London.  She was born 89 years ago in Fergus, Ontario and was the daughter of the late Harvey and Annie (Dunn) Nixon.
Beloved wife to the late Gerald Dirstein who predeceased her March 22, 2017.  Loving mother of Deborah and Kirk Kennedy of New Hamburg, Ellen Belanger of Owen Sound, Laurie and Neil Hayward of Peterborough.  Sadly missed by her grandchildren Jillian, Meghan, Cowan, Samantha, Nicholas and Kyle.  Dear sister of Ken Nixon.  Ruth is predeceased by her brothers Howard, Chester, Raymond, Melvin, Roy, Austin & Jack as well as by her sisters Jean, Edith, Stella and Agnes. 
Ruth enjoyed gardening and had a love for baking and crosswords.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will take place at a later date.  Interment in Forrest Lawn Cemetery, London.  As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or Canadian Cancer Society.  Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, New Hamburg assisted with the arrangements.
