Condolence from Gerry and Pat Grundy sent on September 20, 2018

To all of Helen’s Family,
We are sorry for your loss with the passing of your Mother,Grandmother, Sister and Friend- Helen. We met Helen through Dana and our son, David while visiting in Milverton, some 15 years ago. We treasure so much of who she is, has been and continues to be in spirit: thoughtful, reflective, honest, humorous, challenging, determined, persevering, caring and loving to one and all. Our visits have always been unique to who Helen is; guiding us around Milverton to the bakery, restaurants, and her own neighbourhood – recounting stories from her past; other times we went to Anna Mae’s or Listowel for a meal together ; still others we laughed and reminisced at her retirement space in Brunner. We are missing Helen along with each of you.
Softly and quietly may God’s Love and Peace touch your hearts and whisper messages of Hope and Joy for you during these difficult days, weeks and months. When you begin to make a phone call, realize you can talk to her whenever and wherever now. Our love and prayer support for each of you, Gerry and Pat

I’m the new owner of Helen’s home and I just wanted to pass on my thanks to her for the papers I just found on the history of this house! I wasn’t expecting to find anything so amazing! My sincere condolences to her children, Ruth-Ann and Guy. I found some old art of yours behind the cupboards in the kitchen from 1955-1959 when we took out the old green oven that you probably remember. I tried finding you, but you’re no longer in Milverton. ❤️

My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time. Helen was quite the character and was exactly why she was loved by all.
She will be remembered fondly.

So sorry to hear of Helen’s passing. I had many visits with her at Brunner while dad was there. Fond memories of our time together when we all lived in Miverton.

Condolence from Margo Hoffman sent on August 12, 2018

Dear Ruth Ann & Guy – I have some very fond memories of your Mom from back in the day. I remember her leading at Playground and the mexican huarache sandals she wore, that I loved so much! In the last few years, I would see and chat with Helen out at Brunner at the time I visited with my Dad. Ruth Ann, I have memories of when you taught our Sunday School Class – and Guy, you were the only boy in the class.
It is difficult when our parents have passed on, but we are left with happy memories and gratitude. My thoughts are with you both as you bid your mother the final goodbye.
With my sympathy.
Margo Hoffman
