I fondly remember that during our time together at Steinmann’s MYF you and Terry were fun trailblazers who organized teenage trips to

Dear Barb and Family,
I had the pleasure of always being greeted by Terry’s big grin – he had the best smile. I worked many years within the walls of St Mary’s and our paths crossed many times over the course of many years. His demeanor was kind and comforting… such a gentle soul. No matter where he was or what he was doing he would always take the time to say hello. He truly exemplified compassion and patience and a zest for life. Thinking of you and your family at this time.

Terry was one of the first people I met at St Mary’s General Hospital when I moved to Canada in 2006 and I remember thinking he was such a kind and genuine person with a wonderful sense of humor to boot. That impression never changed as I had the pleasure of knowing him the 10 years I lived and worked in Kitchener. My sincere condolences to his family. What sadness I felt when I read of Terry’s death in the paper today. I was one of Terry’s nursing professors and I recall as a student he was very committed to nursing. Even then I knew he would make a positive contribution to the profession. You are in prayers at this difficult time. Nursing has lost a valuable member of the profession.

I had the honour of working with Terry for a number of years in his capacity as an educator at SMGH. He often assisted with Nurses who were experiencing performance issues and almost without exception, he could turn a situation around. Served on committees with Terry and he often lead the discussion and direction of the group. He was a true professional. Didn’t know him personally but he always seemed to be a very happy positive person and you and your family must be very proud of him. Barb, my deepest sympathy to you and Terry’s family….a wonderful individual gone too soon!
