Condolence from Doug Scott sent on March 10, 2019

News has reached my home in Vancouver regarding Rogers passing. It is always sad to learn about the loss of another member of my childhood community. Roger was a big personality for myself and my late brother Tom when we were children watching him farm the land behind our home.
Many memories and verbalizims still resonate in my mind of those days long ago. My condolences to his immediate family and members of the community.

Our condolences to Linda and Family during this difficult time.

I enjoyed working with Roger and reminiscing about farming days gone by.
Roger was always happy to let me bring my son to the farm and he has many fond memories of his experiences. The earliest helping get the wood pile stacked for the infamous bonfires.
And, in more recent years, my grandchildren were able to have adventures to the farm as well. Feeding the goats was their favourite thing to do.
We will always remember your smiling eyes and the passion you had for farming.
You were a good, honest man.
Rest In Peace my friend.

Linda, Melissa, and the rest of the family, I’m so sorry to hear about Roger and I know Heather and Michelle are as well. Obviously, a big part of my young life was spent visiting the farm and Roger’s presence was always larger than life. Later, bringing Michelle out to see the goats was something special for her is and a memory I know she holds dear even today, so many years later.
I can’t imagine how difficult this time is for you both, for the whole family, so I just wanted you to know I am thinking of you all and if there is anything I can do, please don’t hesitate to ask. Both of you, Brooklyn and Dan too, will all be in my thoughts.
All my best . . . Sean
