Trevor Jutzi is no stranger to the people of Milverton & New Hamburg as he has grown up and lived in both communities. He resides in Milverton with his wife Ellen, their three daughters Brooke, Brett and Abbie and their dog Gibson. A son of Mark & Karen Jutzi, he has worked alongside his parents for many years, officially receiving his Funeral Director’s Licence in 1990. In 2003, Trevor and Ellen purchased the funeral homes from his parents, and he continues his commitment to giving caring and professional service to the families of both Milverton and New Hamburg. When Trevor is not busy at the funeral homes, you can find him giving back to his community by volunteering as Manager for the Milverton 4 Wheel Drives Sr. Men’s hockey team and Coach for the Intermediate AW Ladies softball team, and as well as being an active member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church.
Ellen is a lifelong native of Milverton and area. She became a member of the Jutzi Family upon her marriage to Trevor in 1989. Ellen attended the Funeral Service Education Program at Humber College and received her Funeral Director’s licence in 1991. She was employed by Schreiter-Sandrock Funeral Home in Kitchener from 1990-1999 and brings with her a wealth of funeral experience. As co-owner of the funeral home with her husband Trevor, Ellen is kept busy with the day to day operation of the funeral home. She is also involved in her church and minor sports and spends a lot of time being the top cheerleader at her children’s sporting events. Ellen’s warm smile and genuine desire to help families in need make her a wonderful addition to both the Jutzi Family and the funeral home staff.
Mark & Karen Jutzi
As our founders and namesake, Mark & Karen have a long history of caring and personal service to both communities. Both growing up in the Milverton area, Mark & Karen formally adopted New Hamburg as their home over 30 years ago. Mark received his funeral directors licence in 1967 and after several years of employment in various industries he purchased the funeral home in New Hamburg in 1977. Karen received her funeral directors licence in 1980 and served along with Mark until the transfer to the next generation in 2003. Mark and Karen’s genuine friendliness and deep commitment to walk with families in their time of grief and loss has made them trusted friends to many in both Milverton and New Hamburg. Their “semi-retired” status allows them to attend as many of their grandchildren’s sporting events as possible!
